Coco Lounge brunch in Glen Waverley

Hardly anyone hasn’t been to Coco Lounge if they dine in Glen Waverley – it is in such a great location on Kingsway and has excellent coffee.

Today we visited Coco Lounge for lunch but I was soon tempted by their breakfast offerings and ordered eggs benedict – it was fantastic with lovely poached eggs on a bed of spinach and bacon atop a toasted English muffin base. It however was rather small for the price but I guess, big enough for me.

My companion had the ricotta and beetroot cannelloni topped with Napoli sauce – this was nice but again quite small with three small cannelloni for $21.90.

I’ve had a mixed experience with Coco Lounge in the past few years – I remember ordering their pork belly which boasted a crispy skin but fell well short of that.  On the other hand, I have enjoyed their breakfast selection, especially their breakfast burrito which has a contrasting spicy fruit chutney to liven up scrambled eggs. It is popular for a reason but still, the food is a bit pricey for what they serve. There is great seating and ambiance though so no doubt it will remain very popular and packed during all hours of the day.
